Volunteer in Asia

Volunteer in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar or Thailand

EPOP is always looking for volunteers to help teach English. We recruit volunteers for placements in: English teaching, curriculum development and online tutors. Volunteering with EPOP will give you a unique cultural insight and experience in community development initiatives abroad. EPOP is a non-profit organization and does not charge a fee for volunteers to participate. International volunteers will receive a modest stipend for accommodation, transportation and teaching supplies. EPOP volunteer placement also include full support from our volunteer staff and a teacher orientation and training.

Face-to-Face English Teachers

Volunteering overseas as an English teacher will help give practical face-to-face time with our students. Volunteer teachers stay with their students, and will be immersed in the local culture. You will teach part-time throughout the week, leaving you extra time to learn more about your students and their country. EPOP will provide full volunteer teaching training as well as support throughout your placement. If you are interested in Face-To-Face Teaching, click here to apply.

Online Tutors

Be an online tutor with EPOP and help our students outside of urban areas. Online tutors are assigned 5 or 6 students and need to put inapproximately 5 or 6 hours per week supporting those students. Online tutors need to have a reliable internet connection and work with their students through the online learning portal.

Curriculum Development

EPOP Asia is a unique distance learning program, whereby most of our education resources are online. We need dedicated people to become volunteer curriculum developers to help constantly improve and evaluate our courses. Volunteer curriculum developers will help to create resources and update the existing framework, working with students and local staff.

EPOP Asia also has opportunities for dedicated online volunteers. Students working online in distance parts of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, benefit greatly from weekly tuition from volunteer teachers.

If you are interested in volunteering as a curriculum developer orĀ  online tutor, please send a letter of interest highlighting your relevant work experience to: blaire.epopasia@gmail.com.
